A youth has splashed ink on the vehicle carrying CPN (UML) leader Mahesh Basnet in Biratnagar. As Basnet’s car was plying the road, a young man suddenly ran toward the vehicle and threw ink at it.
According to DSP Kopila Chudal of the District Police Office, Morang, while he was on his way from Kathmandu to attend a program in Sunsari via Biratnagar Airport, an ink-filled balloon was hurled at his vehicle in front of the airport.
Police have taken two individuals into custody in connection with the ink attack. The arrested have been identified 15-year-old Arpit Kunwar and Sanjog Gautam, 25, the police said.
