The minimum temperature of the Kathmandu Valley has dropped further, with the cold increasing day by day across the country.
According to meteorologist Hari Prasad Dahal of the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature of the Valley was recorded at 6.4 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am today (Wednesday). It was 7 degrees Celsius yesterday.
However, the official minimum temperature for today will be measured again at 8:45am. The temperature may drop further at that time, or it may also remain the same.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division measures two types of temperatures—minimum and maximum—each day for Kathmandu and various parts of the country.
The minimum temperature is the lowest level reached during the day, while the maximum temperature is the highest.
According to meteorologists, the minimum temperature is measured at 8:45 am, and the maximum temperature is measured at 5:45 pm.
