President Paudel has approved the deployment of the Nepali Army for the security of the upcoming elections.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers convened on November 24 had forwarded a recommendation to the President for the deployment of the Nepali Army.
Prior to this, a meeting of the National Security Council held November 20 had sent a letter to the Council of Ministers requesting the latter to officially decide on the army deployment.
The President has approved the recommendation forwarded by the Council of Ministers, Pradeep Kumar Koirala, the spokesperson for the Office of the President, told Nepalkhabar.
The elections of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for March 5, next year.
