A total of 35 people were injured in a pile-up that occurred at Chalise in Dhunibesi Municipality-6, Dhading, along the Prithvi Highway on Saturday.
The accident occurred after seven vehicles collided with each other, leaving passengers from four of the vehicles injured.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Dahal of the District Police Office, Dhading, all the injured are undergoing treatment at local hospitals and various hospitals in Kathmandu.
The vehicles involved in the accident were a school bus, Ba Pra 001 Ka 0011, traveling from Kathmandu to Gajuri, a vehicle with registration number NL 01 BA 4654, a truck, Na 4 Kha 715, a motorcycle, Lu 95 Pa 307, a bus, another bus (Ga 1 Kha 8551) traveling to Kathmandu, and a tourist bus, Ba 1 Pa 917.
Most of the injured were students traveling in the school bus. According to the District Police Office, 25 students on the Chitwan school bus, eigh passengers on the bus traveling from Gorkha to Kathmandu, 1 motorcyclist, and 1 person in the vehicle were injured.
