According to Inspector Shyam Kumar Basnet of the District Police Office, Dhading, the two injured individuals died while undergoing treatment. One of the deceased has been identified as 59-year-old Sheikh Ali, a resident of Madibesi in Thakre Rural Municipality-6, who was riding a motorcycle at the time of the crash. The other victim, a male believed to be around 35 years old, has yet to be identified. Police are still investigating which vehicle he was traveling in.
Both bodies have been kept at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
Of the 70 injured, 51 people who sustained minor injuries have been discharged after treatment, while 17 others are undergoing treatment at the Trauma Center in Kathmandu. Police said the condition of one of the patients remains critical. Several others received treatment at local health facilities shortly after the incident.
The collision involved a school bus (Ba Pra 001 Kha 0011) traveling from Kathmandu to Gajuri, an Indian number plate vehicle (NL 01 BA 4654), a truck (Na. 4 Kha 715), a motorcycle (Lu 95 Pa 307), another bus, a Kathmandu-bound bus (Ga 1 Kha 8551), and a tourist bus (Ba 1 Pa 917).

Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident occurred after an Indian-number–plate truck suffered a brake failure and rammed into the other vehicles.
