Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has also been recommended as a candidate for the House of Representatives election from Sarlahi.

Along with Kathmandu, Dhankuta and Rolpa, Thapa has also been recommended as a candidate from Sarlahi Constituency-4.

Nepali Congress District Working Committee, Sarlahi has stated that leader Thapa has been recommended as a candidate from Sarlahi Constituency-4.

NC's regional committee meeting recommended Thapa as its candidate for the House of Representatives member from Sarlahi-4 under the first past-the-post electoral system.

Along with Thapa, Madhesh Provincial Assembly member Birendra Prasad Singh has also been recommended as a candidate from this Constituency.

However, just four days ago, when Thapa reached Malangwa, the headquarters Sarlahi district, Thapa had said that he would contest the election from Kathmandu, this time too.

In the 2079 election, independent candidate Amresh Kumar Singh was elected from Sarlahi Constituency-4.

While Singh had won by securing 20,017 votes, Congress candidate Nagendra Kumar Raya had received 18,253 votes.

Nepali Congress has recommended Thapa from Kathmandu-4, this time too. The regional committee of the party meeting unanimously recommended General Secretary Thapa. Thapa has been winning elections from Kathmandu-4, consecutively.
