The vote counting for the election of the new leadership under the 11th General Convention of CPN (UML) is currently underway.
With 666 votes counted so far, KP Sharma Oli has taken a significant lead over Ishwar Pokharel for the position of Chairman, securing nearly three times the number of votes counted so far.

Similarly, Shankar Pokharel, also from the Oli faction, is leading for the position of General Secretary with 368 votes. Meanwhile, Surendra Pandey from the Pokhrel faction has secured 302 votes. The counting of votes is underway.
