Kathmandu Sub-metropolitan Deputy Mayor, Sunita Dangol, has been elected as a central committee (CC) member of CPN (UML).

In the election held at the 11th General Convention of UML, Dangol made it as a member to the CC by garnering a large number of votes among the youth under 40 years of age under the capital special cluster category.

Dangol dominated the cluster with 1,668 votes, leaving her competitors trailing far behind.

In a contest for a single seat, Santosh Khadka and Rajan Thapa proved to be the most competitive contenders within the cluster.

Khadka and Thapa trailed significantly with 330 and 229 votes, respectively—a result that cements Dangol’s reputation as a popular youth leader within the UML.
