Intern doctor falls from fifth floor of Biratnagar's Nobel Medical College, dies

An intern doctor at Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar, Morang, has died after falling from the fifth floor of the hospital building.

According to the District Police Office Morang, Dr Amit Yadav, an intern doctor and resident of Saptari, passed away around 6:00 am today after falling from the building. Police suspect that he may have committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor.

Yadav was found critically injured in front of the main gate after the fall. DSP Kopila Chudal of the District Police Office Morang informed that he was immediately rushed to the emergency room with severe head injuries, where he was pronounced dead.

His father, Shambhu Prasad Yadav, shared that Amit, a resident of Rajbiraj Municipality-9, Saptari, had been taking medication for mental health issues.

The hospital administration stated that they are currently looking into the matter and noted that Dr. Yadav had been struggling with mental health problems. Police have been deployed to the site, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
