A group led by Miraj Dhungana, identifying themselves as "Gen Z," attacked Saroj Shahi, a journalist for Nepalkhabar, while he was taking photos at Maitighar.

The group, which launched a protest today, attacked Shahi and harassed photojournalists from other media outlets while they were capturing footage for news coverage.

"While I was taking photos, they suddenly approached me and attacked him with a helmet," Shahi reported from Maitighar. "They used offensive language while attacking me."

Shahi explained that he was targeted with a helmet while photographing the demonstration. While he managed to dodge the blow aimed at his head, he was struck on the arm. He also sustained leg injuries while attempting to protect himself during the assault.
