Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Coordinator of Nepali Communist Party.
Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', coordinator of Nepali Communist Party (NCP), has stated that the restoration of the House of Representatives (HoR) is out of the question, urging all political forces to prepare for upcoming elections.
Speaking at a program organized to welcome new party members at the NCP central office in Paris Danda, Prachanda claimed that both Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) are now shifting their focus toward the electoral process. Despite these parties having filed petitions in the Supreme Court for the reinstatement of Parliament, Prachanda asserted that they would soon join the election fray.
"We must move forward unitedly for the elections. I believe that from today or tomorrow, both Nepali Congress and UML will fully concentrate on the polls," he said.
Maintaining that there is no alternative to the elections, Prachanda urged party cadres and the public not to remain in any confusion.
He warned that failing to hold elections would push the country toward further instability. "Without elections, the country will plunge further into instability and chaos. It is now essential for the entire nation to focus on the polls and for us to mobilize the general public in that direction," he added.
