Madhesh Province govt gets full shape; six ministers sworn in

The Madhesh Provincial government formed around a month ago in leadership of Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav has got full shape with the appointment of six ministers to the cabinet today.

The Chief of the Province Dr Surendra Labh Karna administered the oath of office and secrecy to six ministers at the Madhesh Bhawan at Janakpurdham in Dhanusha amid a programme today itself.

On the occasion, the Province Chief administered oath to Minister for Labour and Transport, Manish Kumar Suman, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Raj Kumar Gupta, Minister for Forest and Environment Shankar Prasad Chaudhary, Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Shyam Prasad Patel, and Minister for Sports and Social Welfare, Basanta Kumar Kushbaha.

Likewise, Fakira Mahato, who has been entrusted with responsibility of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Communications and Ministry of Law, also took the oath.

With the swearing in of the new ministers, it is believed that the stalled administrative activities of the provincial government will gain an impetus.
