A noted news reader, Michael Chand, passed away on Friday morning. He was 77-year-old.
According to family sources, he died at his residence in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. He was suffering from a pancreatic cancer for long.
Chand had served as an English news editor and newsreader at Radio Nepal for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife (first actress of Nepali cinema), Bhuvan Chand, and three daughters.
