Kathmandu records 2.4 degree Celsius

Temperature across the country including the Kathmandu Valley has dipped in recent days.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the minimum temperature of the Kathmandu Valley was recorded 2.4 degree Celsius on Friday, the lowest temperature recorded in this winter.

Meteorologist Binu Maharjan said that the temperature across the country has gradually decreased with the beginning of January.

Maharjan suggested that precautions should be applied to remain safe from the biting cold.

Likewise, temperature has plummeted in different districts across the country. Despite sunny days, the temperature in the morning and evening has lowered, increasing the severity of cold.

On Friday, Jumla recorded the lowest temperature (-7.7 degree Celsius).

Likewise, the minimum temperature of Jomsom was recorded minus 5 degree Celsius and minus 2.1 degree Celsius in Jiri, Dolakha.
