Gagan Thapa has submitted the documents of the new Central Working Committee (CWC) elected through the Special General Convention to the Election Commission, Nepal.
Thapa, flanked by his team, reached the Office of the Commission and submitted the documents to the Acting Chief Election Commissioner, Ram Prasad Bhandari, Thapa said.
Talking to journalists after submitting the documents to the Commission, Thapa said, "We have submitted all the documents corroborating the formation of the new CWC and requested the Commission to update its records, accordingly."
Meanwhile, he expressed belief that the Commission would update the records at the earliest. Stating that the January 20 is the deadline for filing candidacies for the elections of the House of Representatives, Thapa said, "We are hopeful that the Commission will duly update the records."
