NC unveils final list of 110 PR candidates

The Election Commission (EC) officially released the closed list of 110 proportional representation (PR) candidates from Nepali Congress (NC) late Sunday night.

The list, which adheres to Nepal’s inclusive cluster system, features prominent veteran leaders and new faces positioned at the top of their respective categories.

The following candidates secured the top positions within their specific demographic groups.

Khas-Arya (Male): Arjun Narasingh KC

Female: Sushila Dhakal Acharya

Adivasi Janajatia (Male): Bhishma Raj Angdembe

Female: Gita Kumari Sendang

Madhesi (Male): Mohan Chandra Yadav

Female: Ninu Karna

Tharu (Male): Min Raj Chaudhary

Female: Pramila

Dalit (Male): Man Bahadur Nepali

Female: Harina Devi Kami

Muslim (Male): Jamil Akhtar Miya

Female: Shahjahan Khatun

The publication follows intense internal deliberations within the party to balance factional interests and provincial representation. Under the PR system, voters cast ballots for the party itself, and seats are allocated based on the total vote share, with candidates selected in the order they appear on this finalized closed list.
