The filing of candidacies under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) of the House of Representatives election was conducted successfully across the country on Tuesday.
According to the Election Commission (EC), a total of 2,925 candidates registered nominations for 165 constituencies yesterday.
As per the election schedule, complaints, if any, can be lodged against the candidates contesting the first-past-the-post (FPTP) election today.
The Election Commission would make public the final list of candidates under the FPTP election following investigation into the complaints the next day.
