Dr Krishna Paduel has been appointed as the Acting Director of Health Insurance Board.
The Ministry of Health and Population on Wednesday entrusted Dr Paudel with the administrative and financial responsibilities of the Board Director.
The Board was headless after the Executive Director Dr Raghu Raj Kafle resigned from the post.
Dr Paudel was currently serving in the Policy, Planning, and Monitoring Division of the Ministry of Health.
The government owes Rs 11 billion to healthcare centers. Dr Kafle resigned from the post on the alleged charge of doling out budget to private hospitals meant for government ones.
