UML's Roshani Meche has been elected as a member of the National Assembly (NA) in the elections held Koshi Province on Sunday.
Meche was elected with 7,173 vote weightage in the vote-count held in the election office in Biratnagar.
Her close contestant Namita Neupane garnered 2,268 vote weightage, according to the election office.
Ninety-three Province Assembly members and 274 representatives had cast their votes in the elections.
The vote count under other clusters in Koshi Province is underway.
