18 candidates elected as National Assembly lawmakers (with name-list)

Candidates from Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML, and Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal (JSP-N) secured victories in the National Assembly elections held on Sunday.

The winners include Roshni Meche, Somnath Portel, and Sunil Bahadur Thapa from Koshi; Rekha Kumari Jha, Dharmendra Paswan, Ranjit Karna, and Mahant Thakur from Madhesh; and Gita Devkota and Prem Prasad Dangal from Bagmati.

Similarly, Samjhana Devkota and Jagat Timilsina from Gandaki, Basudev Ghimire and Chandra Bahadur KC were elected from Lumbini, Meena Singh Rakhal and Lalit Jung Shahi from Karnali, and Lila Kumari Bhandari and Khamma Bahadur Khati from Sudurpashchim have been elected.

The election successfully filled out 18 positions out of the 19 seats set to become vacant on February 23, with the final member to be appointed by the President upon the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
