Nepal has failed to secure its berth in the Super Six after it lost to Scotland by 72 runs in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers held in Kirtipur.
Nepal was bowled out for 68 runs in 13.5 overs while it was chasing the 141-run target set by Scotland.
To restrict Nepal from reaching the target, Abtaha Maqsood took the highest 3 runs followed by Katherine Fraser and Kathryn Bryce with 2 runs each while Rachel Slater and Olivia Bell grabbed 1 wicket each for Scotland.
Roma Thapa and Bindu Rawal's 14-run score each was the highest for Nepal. Similarly, Rubina Chhetry contributed 10 runs while the other batters could not achieve double-digit runs.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground on Monday, Scotland notched up 140 runs losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Priyanaz Chatterji topped the score with 45 runs including 7 fours off 28 balls followed by Ailsa Lister with 22 runs while Sarah Bryce, Megan McColl and Rachel Slater contributed 18, 17 and 11 runs, respectively.
The other batters could not achieve significant runs.
In reply, Manisha Upadhayay and Rubina Chhetry claimed 4 and 3 wickets, respectively while Riya Sharma, Sita Rana Magar and Kabita Joshi grabbed 1 wickets each for Nepal.
Nepal had lost to Thailand by eight wickets in the first match and by two runs in the second match against the Netherlands.
However, Nepal had defeated Zimbabwe in the third match.
