NEPSE posts transaction of Rs 16.35 billion

The investors have bought and sold 36.2 million units of shares worth Rs 16.35 billion on Monday, the second trading day of the weak.

Even though Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) went down by 3.07 points to reach at 2769.09 points, the transaction volume increased significantly.

While the share prices of 88 companies increased that of 165 decreased. The share prices of 7 companies remained the same.

Similarly, five tickers reached their upper circuit limits during today’s session, resulting in a temporary suspension of trading due to overwhelming buy-side demand.

The share prices of SY Panel, Himstar Urja, Shanvi Energy, Saptakoshi Development Bank and Mountain Hydro went up by 10 percent.

Similarly, the investors of corporate development banks have earned Rs 168.90 per share. Similarly, Trade Tower, Trishuli Hydro, Bandipur Hydro have witnessed increase in their share prices today.

The benchmark index fell by a maximum of 3.12 percent today, with National Hydropower emerging as the top loser. The investors of this company lost Rs 6.90 per share, according to the NEPSE.

Himalayan Power Partners led the market in turnover, outpacing all other equities in today's session.

Earlier, on July 30, the NEPSE had posted a transaction of Rs 16.44 billion in a single day.
