A massive fire erupted at Jamal in Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon following a collision involving four vehicles. According to eyewitnesses and videos circulating on social media, the fire started in one vehicle immediately after the high-speed crash and quickly spread to two others.

"Four to five people have been injured due to the fire following the accident," SP Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, told Nepalkhabar. "The injured were rushed to the hospital, and we are currently gathering detailed information."

The fire, occurring in the middle of the road, has brought traffic in the Jamal and Durbar Marg areas to a complete standstill. Fire engines and police teams were dispatched immediately and are currently working to extinguish the flames. While there has been no official confirmation of casualties yet, the vehicles involved have sustained extensive damage.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the incident.
