As the date of the general election approaches, Nepali Congress (NC) has intensified its election campaign in Nawalparasi West Constituency 1.
At a program organized at the office of the Election Campaign Committee of the House of Representatives Constituency-1, NC Central Working Committee member and candidate from this constituency, Binod Chaudhary, claimed that NC would draw a clear blueprint for the development of the country under the leadership of Gagan Thapa.
The program, which was held with the main slogan “Let’s change Congress, let’s Change the country,” saw a significant presence of general convention representatives, district leadership and cadres. The speakers believed that victory would be assured if NC moved forward unitedly and pointed out the need for party unity in the current situation.
NC District Secretary Kuldeep Acharya said that protecting cadres is protecting votes and added that it would not be difficult for Binod Chaudhary to win the elections, a world-renowned personality, in his own constituency. “If we all work together, the results will be in our favor,” he said.
Chaudhary, who is also a former lawmaker, was elected from this constituency in the 2079 elections. He said that the history of the Congress has witnessed economic, social and political transformation through revolutions and movements, and now it is time to transform that history into a roadmap for development.
“I have never had any pretensions or prejudices in my mind. NC led by Gagan Thapa charts the path of development for the country,” Chaudhary said. He claimed that NC has understood the sentiments and the essence of the movement, especially of the younger generation, especially the Gen Z, and made it clear that maintaining good governance and ending corruption are the main agenda of the party.
