Four killed in Lalitpur truck accident

Four people have died in a road accident in Lalitpur.

Four people died when a nine-wheeler mini truck met with an accident in Baundanda, Konjyosom Rural Municipality-1 on Friday night, informed SP Gautam Mishra of the District Police Range, Lalitpur.

The mini truck (Bagmati Province-01-004 Ka 6228) carrying bricks fell about 500 meters off the road at 9 pm yesterday, he said.

The truck driver, Ganesh Khadka, 52, of Godavari Municipality-6 in Lalitpur, and the truck passenger, Ganesh Thapa, 42, of the same place, died on the spot.

Similarly, Gautam informed that other two men, aged around 40 and 50, who sustained critical injuries in the accident, died in the course of treatment at Patan Hospital. Their identities are yet to be ascertained.
