Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged party's candidates and cadres to listen to all voters.

Addressing the election assembly organised at Butwal today, he requested the candidates and cadres to seriously listen to specially the young people who are dissatisfied with party leaders and cadres.

"Let's make the general people and young people understand that the NC has come with new determination from its special general convention," he argued.

President Thapa also expressed the view that the victory of the NC is necessary to run the country smoothly keeping the geopolitics sensitivity in centre, not only the problems within the country.

"We will not let the next five years go in vain," he assured, adding that for that to happen, we must move beyond the prejudice-laden mindset that 'Only I am good and rest are bad.'

Furthermore, he cautioned that no one should ever think in a way that could push country towards another conflict. "We must remain alert about it," he urged.

He said that constitution amendment is essential for the Nepali Congress to deliver on the pledges it made in the election manifesto and for that, Party President expressed his commitment to move ahead by forging consensus among all political parties.

"Amending the Constitution requires not only the House of Representatives but also the National Assembly,” he argued.

"To amend the constitution we need consensus of the UML, Maoist, Rastriya Swatantra Party and other new parties as well. If I say I will do it singlehandedly and deliver on my own, the country could head towards disaster. We must free ourselves from the illusion that it can be done single-handedly," he opined.

The Nepali Congress organized the election assembly in Butwal in participation of its candidates from all three constituencies across Rupandehi district.

Present in the programme were party's Vice-President Pushpa Bhusal and party leader Bal Krishna Khand among others leaders.

Meanwhile, addressing the election assembly in Baglung Bazaar today itself, President Thapa underlined that as the NC is the largest organization, leaders and cadres should reach the door steps of every voters with its support.

He also asked the party leaders and cadres to make the voters understand about party's 'vision 10'.

Saying the NC has been transformed as per the demand of youths, he mentioned that the experienced and changed NC would address the sentiments and aspiration of youths.
