RSP leads in 101 seats, others in 32 as vote count continues for 133 seats

As the counting of votes continues in 133 seats of the House of Representative elections held on Thursday, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is leading in 101 seats.

RSP, which has already won one seat in Madhesh Province, is leading in all 26 seats in the Province where the counting of votes are underway.

RSP is also leading in all 11 seats in Jhapa and Morang. RSP is also leading in 2 seats in Sunsari and one seat in Udayapur. Likewise, it is leading in Sindhuli 2, Sindhupalchowk 1, Kavrepalanchowk 2, both constituencies of Nuwakot, Dhading 1, Makawanpur 2, and all three constituencies of Chitwan.

Similarly, RSP is taking the lead in both constituencies of Tanahun, all three Constituencies of Kaski, Gorkha 2, Syangja 1, Parbat 1, both constituencies of Baglung, both constituencies of Nawalparasi Gandaki Province, both constituencies of Gulmi, Palpa 1, Rupandehi 1, 2, 3 and 5, Arghakhanchi 1, Kapilvastu 1, Dang 1, 2 and 3, Bardiya 1 and 2, Banke 1 and 3, Nawalparasi West 1 and 3 in Lumbini, Surkhet 2, Kailali 1 and 5, all three constituencies of Kanchanpur, Dedeldhura and Baitadi in Sudurpaschim.

Nepali Congress, which has earlier won in Mustang, has taken the lead in 12 seats. NC is leading in Taplejung in Koshi, Lalitpur 1 and Sindhupalchowk 2 in Bagmati, Lamjung and Manang in Gandaki, Palpa 2, Kapilvastu 3 and Pyuthan in Lumbini.

NC is leading in three constituencies of Karnali, Surkhet 1, Dailekh 1 and Jajarkot 1. It is lagging behind in all constituencies of Sudurpaschim and Madhesh.

CPN-UML is leading in 9 seats. UML is leading in three seats of Koshi, Ilam 2, Tehrathum and Okhaldhunga. UML, which is leading in Sindhuli 1 in Bagmati, Nawalparasi East-2 in Gandaki, Rupandehi 4 in Lumbini and Banke 2, is also leading in Dailekh and Doti in Karnali.

Nepali Communist Party (NCP) is also leading in 9 seats. It is leading in Kavrepalanchowk 1 and Dhading 2 in Bagmati, Kapilvastu 2 in Lumbini, Rolpa and Rukum East. NCP is leading in 2 seats in Karnali and 3 seats in Sudurpaschim. It is also leading in Salyan, Kalikot, Achham, Kailali 2 and 3.

Independent candidate Mahabir Pun is leading in Myagdi and Gyanendra Shahi of RPP is leading in Jumla. Despite tough competition in some places, RSP candidate is likely to win in most seats.
