NC's Mohan Acharya wins HoR election from Rasuwa

Mohan Acharya of Nepali Congress has won the House of Representatives election from Rasuwa.

According to the Election Commission, Acharya of Nepali Congress won by securing 10,656 votes. He had been leading since the beginning of the counting of votes.

This is Acharya's third consecutive victory. He was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Rasuwa district in 2074 BS and 2079 BS.

His nearest rival, Basanta Bhatta of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), secured 5,571 votes.

In the voting held on Thursday, 60.61 percent or 25,136 votes were cast in Rasuwa. There were a total of 41,471 voters in Rasuwa district.
