RSP's Khanal wins HoR seat from Nawalparasi West 1, beats Binod Chaudhary

Bikram Khanal of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected from Nawalparasi West 1.

Khanal was elected by defeating Binod Kumar Chaudhary of Nepali Congress by a margin of more than 35,000 votes.

Khanal received 45,241 votes, while Chaudhary obtained 9,502 votes.

Khanal, who was also the general secretary of Nepali Congress in Lumbini Province, left Nepali Congress and joined RSP just before the election.

In this constituency, UML's Ram Prasad Pandey got 7,956 votes, JSP's Hridayesh Tripathi got 7,832 votes, RPP's Navneet Kumar Mishra got 1,593 votes, and NCP's Sindhu Jalesa Budhathoki got 1,056 votes.
