Moderate rain/snowfall likely in hilly and mountainous regions

Nepal is currently under the partial influence of a western wind and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region.

At present, the hilly and mountainous areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Koshi Provinces are generally cloudy, while the hilly and mountainous areas of the remaining provinces are partly cloudy.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, moderate rainfall with thunder/lightning is occurring in some hilly areas of Gandaki Province and a few lowland areas of Bagmati Province.

This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province, Sudurapschim Province, and other provinces are expected to be generally cloudy, while the remaining areas will be partly cloudy.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall/snowfall with thunder/lightning in a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, as well as a few places in the mountainous areas of other provinces and one or two places in the Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

Tonight, the mountainous areas of the country will be generally cloudy, while the remaining areas will be partly cloudy.

The Division said there is a possibility of moderate rain/snow with thunderstorms/lightning in a few places in the country's mountainous region and in one or two places in the hilly region.
