Seven people have died when a microbus, Ba Pra 006 Kha 8430, returning home carrying pilgrims from Manakamana Temple, met with an accident.
According to DSP Shailendra Thapa, the deputy spokesperson of the Armed Police Force, Nepal, seven pilgrims died on the spot when the microbus fell some 200 meters down the road after it went out of control at Kantar in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3, Gorkha this evening.
Five among those killed are male and two are female, according to DSP Thapa.
There were 14 people on board the microbus. Seven of them were rescued and taken to Aabukhaireni Hospital, according to the police.
A team of security personnel from the Armed Police Force, Nepal, (29 Company), Gorkha and the District Police Office, had fanned out to the accident site for rescue operations.
