Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has finalized the names of candidates for nine proportional representation (PR) seats.
Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal finalized the names of PR MPs this afternoon.
The Election Commission (EC) had determined that the NCP would get 9 MPs from the 811,577 votes it received for the proportional representation.
Accordingly, NCP has selected the MPs, combining all the clusters and submitted the list to the Election Commission on Sunday itself.
Among the names recommended by NCP includes Pramesh Hamal from Khas-Arya, Parshuram Tamang and Bhim Kumari Budha Magar from Adivasi-Janajati cluster.
The name of Prem Bayak has been recommended from the disability group while Jog Kumar Barbaria Yadav and Parwati BK have been recommended from Madheshi and Dalit groups respectively.
Likewise, Ganesh Bishwakarma from Dalit and Nirasha Chaudhary Dagaura from the Tharu group have been recommended, a NCP leader said.
