Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has substantially increased the prices of petroleum products. The increased prices have come into effect starting today.
The Corporation has clarified that the prices of petroleum products have to be increased due to the ongoing conflict between US-Israel and Iran.
According to the Corporation, the prices of petrol have been increased by Rs 15 and diesel and kerosene by Rs 10 per liter. However, the price of cooking gas remains unchanged.
With the new price adjustment, the price of petrol in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal, which fall under the third category, has been fixed at Rs 172 per liter, while the price of diesel and kerosene has been fixed at Rs 152.
Similarly, in Dang and Surkhet, which fall under the second category, the price of petrol has reached Rs 171, and the price of diesel and kerosene Rs 151 per liter.
The Corporation has placed Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj in the first category.
The price of petrol in these places has been fixed at Rs 169.50 and the price of diesel-kerosene at Rs 149.50 per liter, the Corporation said.
