The Department of Immigration (DoI) has urged the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to engage foreign players in any game by only obtaining labor agreement and work permit.

Issuing a press release today, the Department asked the football clubs participating in the ANFA-run national league football tournaments not to include foreign players from different countries only having tourist visa.

It is stated that the Department has received complaints noting football clubs participating in national league football games have also included foreign players from various countries holding tourist visa.

If foreign players need to be included in any game, it is mandatory that they participate only after obtaining work permit and agreement according to the rules as mentioned in the statement.

The Department has also stated that the matter is under surveillance from today onward.

The statement further noted that immediate action will be taken if foreign players without approval are found participating in any game against the purpose of their visa.
