Nepali Congress has called a Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting.
NC has called a CWC meeting for Tuesday at 1 pm at the central party office in Sanepa. According to Krishna Prasad Dulal, acting chief secretary of the central party office, the meeting has invited the office bearers, members and provincial presidents of the CWC.
The CWC meeting held from last Friday to Sunday had decided not to accept the resignation of President Gagan Thapa. After President Thapa tendered resignation, the meeting presided over by Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma conducted an initial review of the election defeat in the House of Representatives (HoR) held on March 5.
It is reported that the meeting will be held tomorrow under the chairmanship of President Thapa.
Leaders have said that preparations are underway to bring the agenda of the party's 15th General Convention at the meeting tomorrow.
