47 MPs to take oath in 17 languages (with name-list)

The newly elected 47 MPs are preparing to take the oath in languages ​​other than Nepali. The Parliament Secretariat has stated that the 47 MPs are scheduled to take the oath in 17 mother tongues.

The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected 274 members of the House of Representatives will be held tomorrow (March 26).

After the senior-most member of the House of Representatives, Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narasingha KC, took the oath from President Ramchandra Paudel today, KC himself will administer the oath to the remaining 274 MPs on Thursday.

The Parliament Secretariat has stated that KC will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the 274 MPs at 2 pm tomorrow.

According to the constitutional provisions, every member of the Federal Parliament must take the oath before participating in a meeting of the House or any of its committees for the first time. MPs can also take the oath in their mother tongue.

For that, there is a provision that the concerned MPs should inform about it within the time limit specified by the Secretariat.

Accordingly, the Parliament Secretariat had informed the MPs who want to take the oath in their mother tongue to inform about it. According to which, 47 MPs will take the oath in their mother tongues other than Nepali, informed the Parliament Secretariat, informed Ekram Giri, spokesperson of the Parliament Secretariat.

Seven MPs of the Shram Sanskriti Party are preparing to take the oath in four mother tongues. The party has stated that Chairman Harak Sampang will take the oath in Nepali.

The Parliament Secretariat has stated that Anushka Shrestha, Kulbhakta Shakya, Kusum Maharjan, Kripa Maharjan, Ganga Lakshmi Awal, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Rukesh Ranjit, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, and Sahjan Khatun have applied to take the oath in Nepali.

Similarly, Aakriti Awasthi, Deepak Raj Bohara, and Harina Devi Kami are preparing to take the oath in Doteli.

Similarly, Ankita Thakur, Asha Jha, Ujjwal Kumar Jha, Kamini Kumari, Tapeshwar Yadav, Deepak Kumar Sah, Narendra Sah Kalwar, Nisha Mehta, Manish Jha, Matrika Prasad Yadav, Ramji Yadav, Sitaram Sah, Shambhu Kumar Yadav and Jog Kumar Barbaria Yadav will take the oath in Maithili language.

Similarly, the Parliament Secretariat has stated that Bhandari Karki and Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary will take the oath in Bajika language.

Kanhaiya Baniya, Buddhi Prasad Pant and Rabindra Patel will take the oath in Bhojpuri language.

Similarly, Amarkant Chaudhary, Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, Geeta Chaudhary, Pramila Kumari Gachhadar, Surendra Chaudhary and Karishma Katharia and Kriparam Rana will take the oath in Tharu language.

Pramod Kumar Mahato and Rajkishore Mahato will take the oath in Magahi language, the Parliament Secretariat has stated.

Similarly, Khushbu Oli will take the oath in Sanskrit, Dhruvraj Rai in Bantawa, Parashuram Tamang in Tamang, Niskal Rai in Chamling, Mohammad Ishtiaq Rai in Avadhi, Ain Bahadur Mahar in Bajhangi, Ganga Chantyal in Chhantyal, and Renuka Kaucha in Magar will take the oath in Kham language, according to the Parliament Secretariat.
