Madhesh Province Chief Hari Shankar Mishra has called for the formation of a new government in the province.
Governor Mishra called on the parties represented in the Madhesh Province Provincial Assembly to form a new government in accordance with Article 169 (2) of the constitution.
No political parties have secured a majority in the general elections held on November 20.
According to a press note issued by the Office of the Chief of the Province, a province lawmaker has to stake claim for the post of the Chief Minister with the backing of two or more than two parties by January 12 (4 pm).
