'Himalaya Cheetah' sets world record in K One Cross 188 Kick Boxing Championship

Boxer Abiral Ghimire has clinched the title of the K One Cross 188 Kickboxing Championship.

Famous worldwide in the boxing field as the 'Himalaya Cheetah', he became the first Nepali athlete to set a new world record by winning the 'K One Cross' title twice.

In the championship held in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday, the Himalayan Cheetah defeated Japan's competitor Riku in the knockout stage to defend the 'title belt' for the second time.

The 'K One Cross 188 Kickboxing Championship' is considered the topmost competition in boxing. According to information provided by Himalayan Cheetah's father and boxer Dev Ghimire, Abiral successfully knocked out the Japanese player Riku in the second minute of the third round of the competition.

'Himalaya Cheetah' has been competing through the world-famous and prestigious 'Hit Kick Boxing Club' located in Tokyo Nagoya. So far, he has defended the Hit Kickboxing title three times, won four Hit Kickboxing title matches, the International Kickboxing Association (ISKA) title, and the K One Cross 175 title.

He is the first Nepali boxer to win 19 out of 25 international competitions so far, securing victory in 18 of them in knockout. He has also made history as the first Nepali boxer to achieve such titles.
