No longer necessary for MPs to carry files for dev works: PM Balen

Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has said that it is no longer necessary for lawmakers to carry files.

During a discussion with lawmakers elected from Koshi Province on Monday, Prime Minister Shah said that development work will be carried out in a procedural manner. "There is no need for lawmakers to carry files. The process of development will take place," Shah said.

He said that this year will be taken forward as a year of good governance. "Whether it is possible to celebrate this year as a year of good governance, the other development work will proceed on the foundation of good governance," he said.

On Monday afternoon, Prime Minister Shah had discussed the issue of planning and development with lawmakers representing Koshi Province. The Prime Minister’s Secretariat has stated that the discussion lasted for about 3 hours.

Prime Minister Shah is currently holding discussions with lawmakers from Karnali Province.
