Govt recommends to summon new parliament session on April 2

The government has decided to recommend to President Ramchandra Paudel to summon a session of the federal parliament on April 2.

The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to recommend to convene a session of the parliament, informed government spokesperson and Minister for Education Sasmit Pokharel. There is a provision for the president to convene a session of the parliament on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

New members of parliament (MPs) have been elected through the House of Representatives elections held on March 5. This is going to be the first session of the new federal parliament.
