A Central Disciplinary Committee meeting of Nepali Congress (NC) is taking place today.
The meeting will be held at the party's central office in Sanepa at 1 pm on Wednesday, said Taraman Gurung, coordinator of the NC Disciplinary Committee.
He said, "The disciplinary committee is holding a meeting today. Those who have committed the crime will be dealt with today."
The NC has called a meeting of the disciplinary committee after outgoing President Sher Bahadur Deuba and leader Shekhar Koirala's group started conducting parallel activities.
NC has called an 'urgent meeting' after Purna Bahadur Khadka, acting president, issued a statement on Saturday in protest against the arrest of UML President KP Sharma Oli and Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak.
Gurung said that today's meeting will discuss the interference of party candidates in the March 5 general elections and the parallel activities of the Deuba-Koirala group.
