Nine people sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred in Sindhuli this morning.
The District Police Office, Sindhuli, has stated that some of the injured are in critical condition.
A bus and a Hiace vehicle collided this morning at Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-5 on the BP Highway.
The Hayas vehicle (Ba 4 Kha 5052) driven by 38-year-old Gaj Bahadur Magar of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-15, which was heading toward Kakadbita from Kathmandu, collided with a Bagmati Province bus (01-006 Kha 2297) driven by 26-year-old Suman Subedi of Baiteshwar Rural Municipality-6, Dolakha, which was coming toward Kathmandu from Sindhuli.
The injured in the accident were Magar, the driver of Hiace, Anita Neupane, 30, of Mandandeupur Municipality-9, Kavre, Prabin Tiwari, 32, whose address is yet to be determined, Sanskriti Yadav, 9, of Jhilimile Municipality-8, Jhapa, Kalpana Rai, 32, of the same place, Amesh Khadka, 38, of Mechi Nagar Municipality-13, Jhapa, Amrit Rana Magar, 22, of Bhadrapur Municipality-1, Jhapa, and Din Prasad Sigdel, 42, of Kachanakabal Rural Municipality-7, Jhapa.
Among them, Magar, the driver of the Hiace, Anita Neupane, and Prashant KC have been brought to Dhulikhel for further treatment.
The remaining injured are being treated at Atmiya Community Hospital, Khalte Sindhuli, according to the police.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Dharmananda Mainali from Ratamata Police Station and a 10-member police team including traffic police led by Police Inspector Basanta Bahadur Bhujel from Area Police Office Khurkot had been deployed in the incident site.
The police had taken the injured to the hospital.
