RSP MP Dol Prasad Aryal elected HoR Speaker

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Member of Parliament (MP) Dol Prasad Aryal has been unanimously elected as the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Senior MP Arjun Narsingh KC, who chaired today's House of Representatives meeting, announced that Aryal has been unanimously elected as the Speaker.

Senior member KC, who was presiding over the meeting, announced that Aryal has been elected as the Speaker and congratulated him on his successful tenure.

As soon as the meeting began, KC gave the opportunity to proposer Rabi Lamichhane to speak, saying that Aryal was the only candidate for the Speaker position.

Lamichhane then presented a proposal to elect Aryal as the Speaker. Lamichhane thanked other political parties for their support in making Aryal a unanimous candidate.

Then Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, Law Minister Sobita Gautam among others spoke in support of Lamichhane's proposal.

In the process, Wagle said that DP Aryal was a suitable candidate for the Speaker position. He congratulated other parties for helping him get elected unopposed as Speaker.

Wagle said that he has shown his ability by becoming an MP and minister in the previous parliament as well, saying that Aryal is an experienced leader. "I am confident that he will play a responsible role as the leader of the parliament," he said.
