Nepal's ministers briefed on int'l affairs and diplomatic code of conduct

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided training to federal government ministers on the topics of ‘Foreign Affairs and Diplomatic Code of Conduct’.

Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai briefed the ministers at a program organized at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s press expert Deepa Dahal informed that Rai gave a presentation on foreign affairs and diplomatic code of conduct.

Secretary Rai provided a detailed overview of Nepal’s foreign policy and international relations. His presentation highlighted strategies for advancing national interests while emphasizing the essential methods, constraints, and etiquette of modern diplomacy.

He emphasized on the priorities of Nepal’s foreign policy, balance of relations, and technical aspects of diplomatic code of conduct.

In addition, the ministers were also briefed on the general etiquette to be followed during meetings with foreign officials and the mandatory observance of the diplomatic code of conduct.
