Gauri Kumari Yadav has been appointed as the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies and Ramji Yadav as the Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security.
Prime Minister Balendra Shah appointed both ministers on Friday, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat. Both the newly appointed ministers are members of parliament from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
Prime Minister Shah on Thursday relieved Deepak Kumar Shah of his post as the Minister for Labor. Ramji Yadav has been appointed to this ministry.
Similarly, Gauri Kumari Yadav has been appointed as the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, which was lying vacant. Prime Minister Shah was looking after it.
Both the newly appointed ministers are elected MPs under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) electoral system. Gauri from Mahottari-4 and Ramji from Saptari-2 had been elected in the House of Representatives elections held on March 5.
They are scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy before the President today itself.
With this, the Shah-led Council of Ministers hasnow become 16-member. One more minister is yet to be appointed.
The 100-point agenda passed by the Shah-led cabinet mentions reducing the number of ministries to 17.
