An Indian national has been arrested with marijuana at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
Indian national Imran Ahmed, who arrived in Kathmandu from Sri Lanka on Monday, was arrested with marijuana, informed Armed Police Spokesperson Bishnu Prasad Bhatta. He arrived from Colombo on Sri Lankan Airlines flight UL-181 and was found to be in possession of marijuana when he was checked by an Armed Police team at the airport's customs re-checking area.
Two kilograms and 96 grams of marijuana were seized from him, Armed Police Spokesperson Bhatta said. Further investigation into the case is underway.
