Nepali Congress (NC) has made preparations to hold dialogue with former President Sher Bahadur Deuba's faction to resolve the dispute within the party.

In a meeting of the Congress Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) held at the central party office in Sanepa on Wednesday, NC President Gagan Thapa decided to hold dialogue with all top leaders, including former office bearers, spokesperson Devraj Chalise said. He said the decision to hold dialogue with the dissatisfied faction was made to create an environment for the upcoming 15th General Convention.

Meanwhile, NC Disciplinary Committee held today decided to seek a seven-day clarification from NC's outgoing acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka. The committee has found that Khadka acted against the party statute by using an NC's fake letterhead to issue an unauthorized press release, in which he falsely disclaimed his responsibilities.

Similarly, NC has assigned former Joint General Secretary Arjun Singh KC to hold dialogue with other parties.  "KC will hold dialogue with other parties outside and inside the Parliament on behalf of NC," said Joint General Secretary Dila Sangraula.
