Nepali Congress (NC) is all set to field Bharat Khadka as its candidate for the post of chairman of Public Accounts Committee of the Federal Parliament.
A Parliamentary Party (PP) meeting of main opposition Nepali Congress decided to field Khada as its candidate for this post. He had been elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) from Doti in the general elections held on March 5.
Born in 2014 BS in Purbichauki Rural Municipality-1, Phulaut, Doti, Khadka had started his political career from the Nepal Student Union in 2032 BS. He had become the Vice President of Nepal Student Union, Doti Campus Unit in 2036 BS.
In the Constituent Assembly elections held in 2064 BS, he had been elected as an MP under the proportional representation system. Likewise, he had retained the MP post for the second time under the PR system in 2070 BS.
Khadka who won the provincial elections from Doti-1A in 2074 BS managed to make it to the Central Working Committee member through the Special General Elections in 2082 BS
