Visiting US Assistant Secretary of State, Samir Paul Kapur, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal today.
The two leaders discussed various issues including strengthening of Nepal-US bilateral relations, the Foreign Ministry said, adding that expansion of cooperation on trade and investment also featured in the meeting.
Kapur is a top US diplomat to visit Nepal since the formation of the Balen-led government.
During his stay, Kapoor is scheduled to hold further talks with senior government officials, business leaders, and cultural experts to reinforce bilateral ties.
