There is possibility of heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning in one or two places of Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces today.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Thunderstorm, lightning, windstorm, hail and moderate to heavy rain and snowfall are possible in some places of the mountainous and hilly regions of the country including Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces and in one or two places of the remaining Tarai region.
Later tonight, the weather will remain generally cloudy throughout the country. Thunderstorm, lightning and windstorm, hail and moderate to heavy rain and snowfall are possible in some places of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces and in a few places of the remaining provinces.
Thunderstorm and lightning, coupled with heavy rain are also possible in one or two places of Lumbini Province.
